ABOUT
Start the day bright and early with our community engagement at the Murwillumbah Farmers Market as we kick off Savour the Tweed 2025 with the official opening by Tweed Shire Council mayor Chris Cherry, Tweed Tourism Company and Destination North Coast.
At the Market you can venture on a Taste Trail for the Senses!
You’ll see the fresh and seasonal produce available at the local vegetable stalls like Everest Farm, Sylva Lining Organics, Jumping Red Ant, Johny’s Garden, Shroom Brothers and Summit Organics. Then be lured by the aromas of the scrumptious croissants at The Bakehouse of Tyalgum & Co, hot coffee at Three Sons Coffee Cartel and the smoked salmon at Greg’s Hot Smoked stall. Taste the delicious food prepared by the market’s food vendors including savoury pakoras at Heart & Halo, Japanese black rice hand rolls at OKI Food or samosas at Lulu Blue Kitchen.
Wander the Taste Trail at your leisure to meet the market’s local farmers and producers with interactive tastings and demonstrations along the way. Look out for artisan cheese maker Deb Allard from Cheeses Loves You who’ll be demonstrating how to make labneh and paneer at her stall, that she’ll be serving with sourdough from neighbouring stall Crabbes Creek Woodfired sourdough bread and Mad Mountain Family Farm pickles.
Look out for Byron Spice Palace where Kaye from Tweed River Pecans demonstrating how to crack open pecans from their shells & being served on hot porridge at Otherworld Wholefoods. We will also see a delicious array of special toasties over at What a Mess, each featuring produce sourced from the market’s farmers and producers.
Make the most of your Wednesday morning - have breakfast at the market, shop for your fresh seasonal produce, support small scale farmers & local producers with your purchases and enjoy the market’s local musician and community space. We can’t wait to see you there!
