About

Pull on your boots and join Pioneer Country and The Cowgirl Surf Club for a sunset hoedown celebrating the best of country hospitality, local flavours and Western-inspired fun. Pioneer Country is a fifth-generation family-owned cattle property and events venue just 10 minutes from the Gold Coast Airport, collaborating with the Cowgirl Surf Club to remind us that country isn’t just cool again, it’s unstoppable.

Set against the backdrop of rolling farmland and a lake-side sunset, guests will graze their way through a series of small plates showcasing some of the Tweed's finest local produce, sip on a locally distilled welcome cocktail, enjoy live country music to embrace the spirit of a modern country gathering. As the afternoon unfolds, expect fashion on the field (dress accordingly), line dancing, mechanical bull bravado and plenty of laughter. It's a celebration of great food, great company and the country spirit that continues to shape the diversity of the Tweed.

Food is at the heart of this experience, with hawker-style hand carts scattered throughout the lawns serving a series of small plates designed for continual grazing throughout the afternoon. Guests can wander between food stations and sample a little of everything, including Mexican street corn ribs, Northern Rivers porchetta rolls and grass-fed Black Angus rib fillet with chimichurri and hand-cut beef tallow fries. A selection of vegan options including Indian inspired spiced potato burger with pickles will also be available, ensuring there's something for every guest to enjoy.

As the sun begins to set, keep an eye out for the wandering cowboy serving warm Bread Social Portuguese tarts.
