About
Step onto the grass at Australian Bay Lobster Producers (ABLP), a pioneering Tweed-based seafood producer, for the first edition of a new on-site seafood pop-up created in partnership with chef Jay Elbrihi and local drink producers Caldera Brewing, Byroncello and Fruit Cartel.
Held outdoors on the ABLP Chinderah site, home to Australia's first land-based Bay Lobster aquaculture operation, this relaxed lunch unfolds in a casual canteen-style setting where guests can settle in for a local seafood-focused experience with drinks to match. This event offers an exclusive preview, one of the very first chances to try ABLP's crispy soft shell Bay Lobster, offered as a mouthwatering katsu sando with smoked lobster shell mayo, served alongside other wild-caught regional seafood.
The menu is brought to life by roving Tweed chef Jay Elbrihi, known for his expressive cooking and instinctive use of local produce. Expect a tight, focused offering that puts premium seafood and native ingredients front and centre, with soft shell Bay Lobster served just metres from where it's grown.
Guests can settle at an outdoor table as Jay serves a trio of imaginative seafood tastes. One locally produced canned drink is included in the ticket price, with more available if you'd like to keep the mood going. Choose from a lemony Byroncello spritz, Saison beer from Caldera Brew or watermelon juice from Fruit Cartel. Guests will also have the opportunity to purchase seafood ingredients and drinks to take home.
