Welcome to Savour The Tweed

21 to 25 October 2026

Get ready for 25+ events over five flavour-filled days at Savour The Tweed, where fresh-grown goodness is on the menu and The Tweed’s remarkable culinary scene is on show.

From coast to valley - a celebration of place, produce and people.

We kick off browsing lush stalls of handpicked seasonal fruits and vegetables on the Tweed Taste Trail at the Murwillumbah Farmers Market.

After grabbing a bite to eat in the sunshine and surrounded by mountains we collect our goods from the stall-holders — Tweed River Pecans, Crabbes Creek Wood Fired Bread and Caldera Brewing and Blending.

We take the scenic route to our next stop

The valley takes us to where the good things grow and we indulge in some fruit farm feasting, then we get entwined in a funky art space. Farm fresh bounty comes to dinner then it’s over to the coast for sunset and a seafood extravaganza.

Next, smell the salty sea air and step into the world of premium seafood. Be one of the very first to try crispy soft shell Bay Lobster at Australian Bay Lobster.

Discover community and connection on a guided farm tour at the heart of Raven Place, where farming and wildlife thrive together.

We board the Golden Swan and glide along the mighty Tweed River savouring exquisitely prepared seafood and listening to water stories from Bundjalung culture.

Then we want to meet the flock and party with pasta and prosecco at Woodland Valley Farm, or maybe we’ll head to Husk’s barrel room to meet the chef and the distiller as the sun sets and we enjoy a delicious 3 course meal.

The deliciousness doesn’t end here

Heading down the coast, we get comfortable at the Chef’s Counter to watch Ben from Pipit demonstrate traditional Japanese Gyotaku fish art

Next, head out country to award-winning Coolamon Station, where horses and cows graze and the tranquillity slows you right down. Sip sweet mead and get toasty warm by the fire as we feast with the beast.

On Sunday it’s time to reflect on our morning rituals, then we’re exploring the Tweed’s stunning landscapes while pedalling blissfully through the countryside as we savour the Trail

We then shake out our picnic rug and settle in for an afternoon of fun and sun as we celebrate another year of Savour the Tweed at the Salt Village Community Picnic family fun day.
